StR/ SpR POST DETAILS 2009-2010

DETAILS/DESCRIPTION OF PLACEMENT:

Main area of work is with CMHT.

1 day a week will be In-patient work.

EXPERIENCE GAINED AND DUTIES OF TRAINEES:

Experience working as a member of a Multidisciplinary Community Mental Health Team delivering care to individuals with complex needs.

Experience of in-patient work, mental health act work and emergency work.

ON CALL COMMITMENT:

On call from home 1:12, pay banding 1c.

TEACHING / ACADEMIC EXPERIENCE:

Medical students- Yes

Foundation trainees- Yes

ST trainees- Yes

RESEARCH OPPORTUNITIES:

Research projects with other consultants in the department; variable availability.

MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE:

Opportunities to be involved in directorate management or trust wide committees.
