of placement
Busy inner city unit covering both in-patient and community work.
In-patient beds based at Meadowbroook. Community team based at the
Willows (1 mile from Meadowbrook) Community Service are well developed,
with additional services supplied for an Assertive Outreach Team,
a crisis service based at A&E, and on First Onset Service. Services
are joint with Health and Social Services, with single management
structure.
Training is based on experience of the trainee, varying from close
supervision (1st year), to considerable autonomy (3rd year) responsibility
for own case load and inpatient
